Product Stewardship awards ceremony

Minister Karpinski, the Polish Treasury Minister, today presided over the Fertilizers Europe Product Stewardship awards. 15 of our member companies passed the robust audit process managed by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The Product Stewardship audit is the global leader in fertilizer stewardship. Product Stewardship was born in Europe, and is now being replicated around the world via our global fertilizer organisation IFA. It is another example of how Europe can be thought leaders globally on important issues.

It is a management system, by DNV, which ensures that fertilizers are manufactured, handled, stored distributed and used in the safest possible way.” Jacob Hansen, Director General, Fertilizers Europe.

The Product Stewardship audit is a voluntary initiative of the industry and is mandatory for all members of Fertilizers Europe. It is verified by an independent professional auditing body (DNV) every 3 years.
